Some of the laptops that ASUS announced in COMPUTEX back in May are starting to make its way in the Philippines. First off, we have the ASUS Zenbook Flip 15 and Flip S. The company’s high-performance, laptop-tablet hybrid.
As the name suggests, both the ASUS ZenBook Flip 15 and Flip S are flip-able laptops. This enables its users to utilize its tablet characteristics. But other than this nifty yet novelty-like feature, both ZenBook devices have some pretty serious hardware inside.
The machines will be powered by Intel’s powerful mobile processors. They will also come in Full HD and 4K UHD flavors, with the Flip 15 at 15.6-inches, and the Flip S at a smaller 13.3-inch body.
The ASUS ZenBook Flip 15 and Flip S’ main and obvious difference is the build. The Flip 15 has the conventional size and build, while the Flip S has a more sleek and posh design. In fact, it’s been hailed as the thinnest and lightest convertible laptop ever with its 10.9mm width and 1.1kg weight.
However, the Flip 15’s larger chassis gave ASUS the chance to pack in a NVIDIA GTX1050 video card, while the Flip S only got integrated graphics. But on the bright side, the Flip S gets to have a display with 60Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB color gamut — something that photo and video editors would really appreciate.
