Realme is adding a third laptop to its arsenal with the new Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air.
The new Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air, a mouthful of a name, is identical to the non-Air version that came out a few weeks ago. Only this time, as the name suggests, it’s lighter and easier to carry.
This one is only 1.39kg as Realme swapped the glass display frame with plastic. It’s also thinner at only 14.9mm in its thickest point.
It’s still a 14-inch display machine with an IPS panel that has a 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution, a tall 3:2 aspect ratio for working and reading documents, as well as 100% sRGB coverage for better colors and 400-nits peak brightness. Stereo speakers with Harman and DTS technologies are also onboard.
There’s a 720p HD webcam on top of the screen, while below the display is a backlit keyboard with three-level adjustable brightness and a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, it’s powered by an Intel Core i5-11320H CPU with Intel Xe graphics, 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 512GB of NVMe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 operating system, a 54Wh battery that could last for up to 12 hours of mixed usage, and a 65W USB Type-C charger. The device also works with 30W Dart Chargers that come with Realme smartphones.
Its ports selection, albeit limited, covers most standards. We have one USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2, one USB Type-A 3.1 Gen 1, and a USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 that should make up for the lack of dedicated HDMI output. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack.
For wireless connectivity, you’re getting WiFi 6 and Bluetooth. You can also mirror your smartphone’s screen and control it with its PC Connect feature.
The Realme Book Enhanced Edition Air has a price of CNY4,699 (around Php38,000) and will come in Green and Grey options. It will be available in China starting January 21. No word yet if it’s also coming here in the Philippines.
