Shortly after Microsoft introduced a new category of AI-powered Windows computers called Copilot+ PCs, ASUS has revealed its first product under this category. The ASUS Vivobook S 15 features advanced AI capabilities and is the Taiwanese manufacturer’s first laptop to come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC.
With Qualcomm’s most powerful processor to date, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 features an integrated Oryon CPU, Adreno graphics, and a Hexagon NPU that can achieve 45 TOPs. It’s a level of performance ASUS claims to be one of the fastest in market and swift enough for on-device AI processing.
As a Copilot+ PC, the Vivobook S 15 comes with Windows 11 AI tools, including Windows Studio Effects—a collection of AI-powered video and audio effects designed to enhance the video and audio call experience. ASUS has also added its own exclusive AI apps into the laptop as well. The most prominent is StoryCube, a digital asset management app that leverages AI to sort, edit, and manage captured raw files with ease.

Though AI is in the spotlight, the Vivobook S 15 is also designed with portability in mind. It weighs 1.42kg and measures 14.7mm in thickness. Its 70Wh battery can last up to 18 hours of usage and can quickly reach full charge thanks to the company’s proprietary USB-C Easy Charge technology. Connectivity options include two USB4 ports, two USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader. WiFi 7 is supported with speeds of up to 5.8Gbps.
ASUS also promises a “premium audiovisual experience” with Vivobook S 15. Its 15.6-inch screen is an ASUS Lumina OLED panel with 3K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 89% screen-to-body ratio. Its Harman Kardon audio system delivers a Dolby Atmos surround sound experience.
