With Microsoft having unveiled the next evolution of AI-powered computers in the form of the Copilot+ PC, Acer has introduced its first model under this new AI PC branding. The new Acer Swift 14 AI features a Snapdragon X system-on-a-chip inside, an all-day battery life, and AI tools for productivity and mobility.
The Acer Swift 14 AI is available in two models: one model powered by the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100 processor, and another model with the more powerful 12-core Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100. Its display is a 14.5-inch WQXGA IPS panel with 120Hz refresh rate, 16: 10 aspect ratio, and edge-to-edge touch screen options. The Adreno GPU handles the graphics, and there are up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage onboard.
As a laptop that meets the Copilot+ PC certification, Acer Swift 14 AI utilizes the Hexagon NPU of its Snapdragon chip, allowing the laptop to operate local AI functions at over 45 trillions of operations per second (TOPS). With Windows 11 preinstalled, advanced AI features include Recall for searching past activities, Live Captions with real-time translations, and Cocreator for AI-generated content. Professionals can take advantage of Windows Studio Effects for AI-enhanced video and audio calls, and gamers can benefit from Auto Super Resolution for real-time upscaling of graphics resolution and frame refresh rates.
Other features include a 1440p QHD IR webcam, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, plus two USC Type-C and two USB 3.2 Type-A ports. Acer has also made sustainability a key focus in the Swift 14 AI, utilizing PCR plastic and shipping the device in 100-percent recyclable packing.
The starting price of the Acer Swift 14 AI is $1,099 (~Php64,000) for the cheapest configuration. The price may vary also depending on region.
