Design – Oh so thick
It’s no surprise that this phone has a thick body. The 3000mAh battery caused the inflated build but it is already expected even without opening the box. The good thing is, its still a comfortable to hold even with its large body but don’t assume that you’ll get acquainted to it easily.
The phone is mostly covered by plastic all through out but still it is a little bit heavy. Although it is made up of plastic, it carries a professional look on the outside and as well as the UI inside. It’s not the typical boring menu but they pumped it up with some style. The black and white colored interface is really cool – at least for me.
The Dual-sim and Dual Standby feature works very well just like other DTC phones
. Two networks are simultaneously running and we are able to receive calls and text messages in time. No haggles or whatsoever. In terms of texting, it’s kinda hard if you’re not used to texting in a thick mobile phone. However, we may just get used to it in he long run.
Listening to my favorite music is such a pleasure because of the loud sounds produced by the speakers. The 2.4-inch LCD display is not too small either so watching random videos can be bearable but that is if you’re not used to large screens.
This is the area where the DTC
GE2 really excel. Since it has a 3000mAh, it managed to go through all the days without charging. We now have it for two weeks and it still has about 80% of power remaining. The usage is very limited though but we can expect it to last a minimum of 2 weeks on normal usage. That’s incredible, right?
DTC GE2 is a very solid and durable phone. It may have an issue regarding its body and weight but it gets the job done when you need it. Perhaps it is one of the best if we’ll take the longevity of its uptime. If you don’t mind carrying a bulky and heavy phone, you might want to check out DTC GE2.
