Aside from the Cherry Mobile Flare, a huge android phone was also launched by Cherry Mobile last Wednesday. Dubbed as Cherry Mobile Titan W500, this device flaunts a phablet like 5.0-inch screen display which is a first from a mobile manufacturer in the Philippines. The Titan headed the Cherry Mobile Flare Up event and we all thought that it’s the real star, until they unveiled the Cherry Mobile Flare. Anyway, Cherry Mobile Titan W500 is still a star on its own right because of its great specs and features. Check out more of the CM Titan below.

Here’s our shot during the Cherry Mobile Flare Up event where the Cherry Mobile W500 Titan was officially announced.

The Cherry Mobile Titan is one lovely device. We got the chance to see it in the flesh and play with it during the event last Wednesday and I can tell you that it’s really huge and at the same time, powerful. It is powerful because it sports a 1GHz dual-core processor to carry out the multitasking and gaming experience seamlessly and as well as the overall operation of the smartphone. A 512MB of RAM is partnered with the mighty processor so that it can handle almost any type of application you throw at it.

Cherry Mobile Titan W500 runs on ICS.

Although the big 5.0-inch can be good incentive if you want to watch movies through the phone, the screen resolution is really a downer. It only has a 480×800 pixel resolution which means that the display will not be crisp. If you have a good eye and if you’re conscious on the quality of the display, then I have to tell you that it’s not that great. We’ve inspected it closely and we quickly noticed that it is not that sharp. However, if you don’t really mind looking at it that much, it will eventually suffice your viewing need and it won’t  be a big problem.

The CM Titan also features a 5-megapixel shooter with autofocus and LED flash which means that it can easily serve you great looking photos in good lighting conditions. In terms of connectivity, Cherry Mobile Titan has all of the smartphone standards such as Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS.

Perhaps the real advantage of the Titan is its large 2350mAh battery capacity. This is the reason why the Lenovo P700 sold like hotcakes in its time because it offers an extra punch to stay up in a couple of days without needing to charge the phone.

  1. hi noypigeeks. ive been reading all your reviews since january. i havent decided yet what CM phone to buy. in your honest opinion, what is the best android phone of CM? your opinion will strike 90% of my decision-making. thanks a lot!

    1. That’s not how multi-core processors are structured. A dual core 1GHz CPU is literally the equivalent of 2 separate 1GHz single core CPUs sharing resources on a single chip.

Of course if you’re right, that would mean the Galaxy S3, which has a 1.4 quad core CPU would only have a max core speed of 350Mhz. That’s not even good enough to play Angry Birds!
