Asus has launched three new devices in the Philippines: the Fonepad 8, Fonepad 7 and MeMO Pad 7.

The Fonepad 7 (FE171CG), pictured above, is a minor update to last year’s FE170CG model. The former offers double the amount of RAM and internal storage, as well as more powerful pair of cameras. The processor and display specs remain unchanged, but Android 4.4 KitKat comes preloaded and not as an upgrade. For these changes, the FE171CG’s initial price is Php6,995, which is Php1,000 more expensive than the FE170CG’s.

The Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) sells for Php11,995. The difference in price is justified in the larger screen (with slightly better resolution) and faster processor. As phablets, the Fonepad 7 and 8 offers dual SIM configuration and phone functionality.
