In a couple of days, Cherry Mobile will be releasing a special version of the Flare S3. With an octa-core processor running under the hood, this upcoming phone is aptly named the Cherry Mobile Flare S3 Octa.
So instead of the MediaTek MT6582 processor found in the original Flare S3, the Cherry Mobile Flare S3 Octa employs the MT6592M. Claimed by the company as its fastest Flare ever, this smartphone further sports a 5-inch IPS display with 720p high-def resolution. It also has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion of up to 32GB. There’s also the USB-OTG feature, allowing users to directly connect the phone to a flash drive or other USB devices.

Besides the faster processor and a higher display resolution, the Cherry Mobile Flare S3 Octa has mostly the same specs as its predecessor. The camera pair still offers 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels of resolution (back and front, respectively). The usual connectivity options also remain the same. Cherry Mobile hasn’t disclosed the battery capacity. Internal specs aside, the Flare S3 Octa appears unique with its gold accent.
Per the company’s Facebook announcement, the Cherry Mobile Flare S3 Octa will be available in company concept stores at the following locations for one day only, specifically February 28, 2015, for Php4,499:
