Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum, Omega Aeon: what we know so far

Cherry Mobile will be having a celebration later today, the Cherry Mobile Fiesta 2014 or #CMFestival14. Of the new gadgets to debut at the event, the Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum and Omega Aeon have generated buzz the most. While waiting for the big reveal, check out what we know about these two devices here.

First, the Cherry Mobile Omega Aeon. With an expected SRP of Php5,999, this 5-inch smartphone comes equipped with a quad-core processor, HD screen resolution, and a back-illuminated (BSI) sensor for its rear camera. Only 4GB internal storage is available (actually lesser when taking system files into account), but the phone comes with a generous expansion of up to 64GB.

The Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum, on the other hand, will probably be Cherry Mobile’s response to the equally priced MyPhone Rio. Both will sell at Php4,999 and sport similar hardware (the Rio is clocked slightly faster by 100MHz, though we can’t be sure which of the two is faster until we know the exact CPU model the Spectrum employs).
