The Cherry Mobile Festival 2014 has begun. As a preview of things to come, Cherry Mobile has updated its smartphone pricelist—including new devices we’ve been anticipating. Check them out here.
As expected, the upcoming Cherry Mobile Omega Spectrum and Omega Aeon are included among the battalion of devices. And while Jelly Bean handsets comprise the majority of the list, the Cherry Mobile Urban stands out by being the sole smartphone to come preloaded with Android 4.4 KitKat. The exact release date for Urban remains unknown, but if the company times it right, what we have here could be the first local device to come out with KitKat.
Smartphones that made a splash last year are also available in the pricelist, but they’re now being sold at prices lower than what they went for upon their release. Former flagship Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z, for instance, now costs Php10,999 instead of Php11,999. The NFC-capable Rave 2.0 is also down a thousand pesos, now selling for Php7,999 while still bundling its NFC speaker for free.
In fact, every smartphone in the list comes with a promotional gift. While there’s the ho-hum cable tie included in every budget-friendly CM devices, there are also key chains, suction stands, phone cases, speakers, and power banks to be had.
Dig further through this treasure trove of a smartphone pricelist and you’ll also notice the remaining smartphones named after precious stones. Cherry Mobile previously revealed the Amethyst and Topaz. And now, they’re accompanied by five more (three of which I guessed the name correctly, yey!): the Onyx, Garnet, Quartz, Ruby, and Emerald.

From a handset equipped with bare essentials for just Php499 to a flagship smartphone with a blazing fast octa-core processor for Php14,999, Cherry Mobile has it all.
