DTC Mobile Philippines has announced on its Facebook page a new Android device. Running on a version of Android Jelly Bean, the new DTC GT15 Fiesta is a quad-core phablet with a 6-inch qHD display and budget-friendly price of Php8,888.
With stocks reportedly already available in some retail stores, the DTC GT15 Fiesta sports a dual-SIM configuration and a 13-megapixel camera on the back. Its front camera has a 2-megapixel resolution for Skype video calls and selfie shots. There’s also 4GB internal storage, with microSD support of up to 32GB. Connectivity features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (with hotspot support), GPS, and 3G HSDPA. System memory is pegged at 1GB.
It’s worth noting that this is also the first handset locally released by DTC to come with a quad-core processor, which for this model is clocked at 1.2GHz. The company’s other phones are usually equipped with just a single or dual-core CPU.
