Chinese consumer electronics company HONOR has recently announced its new DeepSeek R1 Network Edition for its flagship devices, which differs from the recently released YOYO Assistant.
China-based DeepSeek AI has recently shaken the US tech industry after it released its latest AI model, which is comparable in performance with some of the popular AI models but at a fraction of the cost to train and run. Now, DeepSeek is coming to HONOR phones.
HONOR connected its YOYO assistant to DeepSeek to reveal the R1 Network Edition, which can do more than just answer queries. It has also merged with the online search tool.
Currently, the HONOR devices supporting DeepSeek R1 Network Edition include:
- HONOR Magic 7
- HONOR Magic 7 Pro
- HONOR Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design
- HONOR Magic V3
- HONOR Magic Vs3
- HONOR Magic V2
- HONOR Magic Vs2
To access the DeepSeek R1 Network, HONOR smartphone users can do it with just one click — no need to download any application. Simply swipe down on the home screen, enter the Search Page, type “DeepSeek,” and tap the HONOR Official Deepseek.
HONOR smartphones running MagicOS 8.0 and above can also upgrade their YOYO assistant to use the advanced DeepSeek-R1 model.
Aside from HONOR, other smartphone manufacturers and consumer electronics companies partnered with DeepSeek, including Huawei, vivo, and OPPO.
