HTC has released a new phone that it claims to be a flagship device—yes, yet another one for this year. It’s called the HTC One A9, and it looks like an iPhone.

Go ahead and compare it to the latest iPhone 6S. Even the previous-gen iPhone 6 shares design similarities with the HTC One A9, such as the antenna lines, rounded edges and speaker grille. Look-alike? You can call it that. But a cheap knockoff? Hardly. The HTC One A9 holds on its own as an Android smartphone. In fact, it has Android 6.0 Marshallow with very minimal Sense UI modifications, something that purist users can surely appreciate.

So, is the HTC One A9 really a flagship device? In a way. This 5-inch 1080p handset features an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor, Adreno 405 graphics and 4G LTE connectivity. The basic model includes 16GB and 2GB of built-in storage and RAM, respectively. Another configuration has a 32GB built-in storage and 3GB of RAM. These specs make up what HTC insists is a flagship device. But, really, you’re better off with the likes of the One M9 if you’re after sheer hardware performance.

There are some nice finishing touches that make HTC One A9 a good choice. For one, the 13-megapixel main camera has sapphire cover lens, f/2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization and a Pro mode that supports RAW image capture. For another, it’s got BoomSound with Dolby Audio integration.
