Another variant of the G4 has arrived in the Philippines: the new LG G4 Beat. It’s a mid-range smartphone that offers 4G LTE connectivity, Android Lollipop and a 5.2-inch Full HD display.
In the official product page, LG describes the G4 Beat as a smartphone with a “premium heritage.” That most likely refers to the solid design and features that are borrowed from the high-end G4. In terms of sheer performance, the LG G4 Beat is the closest thing you get to the company flagship (unless you look for alternatives from the competition). It’s a notch better than the pen-optimized G4 Stylus and far superior to the 5-inch G4c.
The LG G4 Beat’s main camera isn’t going to impress a lot of people, but the accompanying camera software should more than compensate the hardware’s drawbacks. To name a few, the G4 Beat features a manual mode (a la a professional DSLR) and gesture interval shot.
