Earlier last month, we speculated that MyPhone would release a couple of devices from the Rio and Infinity series. While nothing surfaced from Infinity, two new models did launch for the other series. One of these is the MyPhone Rio 2 Lite.
Like the Rio 2, the MyPhone Rio 2 Lite is more expensive than its predecessor. This new handset costs Php4,599. Compensating for this price increase is a bunch of hardware upgrades. The internal storage, for example, is now 8GB instead of 4GB. The main camera now boasts 8 megapixels in resolution and utilizes a Samsung sensor and blue glass lens elements. The battery capacity is also slightly bigger. As per software changes, Android 5.0 Lollipop brings a whole new experience from the old Jelly Bean.
MyPhone Rio 2 Lite Specs
- Android 5.0 Lollipop
- 4.7-inch IPS LCD (480×800 WVGA), 199ppi

On the other hand, the MyPhone Rio 2 Lite remains the same in terms of the display, front-facing camera and connectivity options. The unspecified processor is still clocked at 1.3GHz.
