Sister companies OPPO, Realme, and OnePlus are releasing new smartphones with the latest and ultra-fast 125W fast charging technology.
Having 125W fast charging on high-end OPPO, Realme, and OnePlus devices is a very big deal. Having such a feature will further staple their flagship status, while also having the benefit of fully charging your device in a jiffy.
As of today, we’re already seeing devices with 120W charging. With a typical 5,000mAh battery capacity, a full charge from 0% will only take about 21 to 25 minutes.
Chances are, the upcoming OPPO-Realme-OnePlus devices are even faster than expected if they handle particular issues better, especially thermals and overheating.
Having a charging capacity that fast also means that you can use your smartphone charger on your laptop, even if it’s a Pro model. No need to carry separate chargers.
This move will also promote 100W+ chargers to the mainstream market, which will result in cheaper prices. For reference, an Apple 140W Type-C charging has a whopping price of Php5,590.
So the question is, which OPPO-Realme-OnePlus devices will get 125W fast wired charging? This latest leak may have the answer. It’s worth noting that OPPO and Realme are already confirmed to have the said charging feature even before their official release.
