When you’re a player in an over-saturated mobile market, you must stand out to survive. That said, billing a particular smartphone as the most powerful worldwide is an effective, head-turning statement. And that’s what smartphone maker Yu (partly owned by Micromax) has done with its new smartphone, the Yutopia.

The claim maybe an exaggeration—blame it on marketing—because there certainly are other contenders that deserve to be crowned as the most powerful. Regardless, the Yu Yutopia has high-end specs especially when you consider its price.

The Yu Yutopia is currently available for pre-order in India for 24,999 rupees (approx.. Php17,860). It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Yu Yutopia in the Philippines under another brand. Perhaps Cherry Mobile or MyPhone will snatch it up and hopefully sell without a significant increase in price.
