Market research firm Canalys has released its latest report ranking the top smartphone vendors in the world for Q3 20224. The figures are based on sell-in shipments.

Transsion Holdings — the company behind Infinix, TECNO Mobile, and Itel — still dominated in Q3 2024 with a 33% market share and an impressive 49% annual growth. The company had a couple of interesting releases during the said quarter: the Infinix GT 20 Pro, TECNO Spark Go 1, and the Itel S24.

OPPO had the best annual growth at 91% and climbed the rankings to #2 with a 16% market share. realme also climbed up to #3.

Xiaomi is still at #4 with a 12% market share while Samsung, sadly, dropped to the #5 spot while still achieving a 42% annual growth. It’s worth noting that none of the top five brands experienced negative annual growth compared to the same quarter last year, hinting at an improved spending capacity for the Philippine smartphone market.
