A new smartphone brand is entering the saturated local smartphone market. Meet Wiko.
Wiko is a French brand headquartered in Marseille, France. It’s owned by Chinese smartphone maker Tinno Mobile.
For a quick history lesson, the company was started in 2011 in France by two friends: CEO James Lin of Tinno group and French entrepreneur Laurent Dahan.

Wiko is already present in parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia. Now, the Philippines will be added to the list. The company has already sent out invites to the media for its local debut, which will be happening in early June.
Although it’s a French company, Wiko is surprisingly offering affordable smartphones from the entry-level and midrange category.

The company’s official Shopee Mall is now up and has listed three devices: the Wiko T3, Wiko T50, and the Wiko T10.
We shall have the official pricing and availability details of the two devices once the brand formally launches in the country next month.
