Facebook is starting the early part of the year with a change to the social media as it revamps the Facebook Pages in an attempt to simplify how creators and public figures “build community and achieve their business objectives.”
In an official announcement, Facebook highlights a number of significant alterations with the social media feature, one most notable of which is the removal of the “Likes” button in favor of “Followers.”
The company claims that Followers make for a better representation of public figures’ fan base rather than those who simply like the page.
