Meta Verified is now available for select Facebook users in the Philippines.
A couple of Filipino users have shared on Facebook that they were able to get the Meta Verified feature on their accounts for a subscription cost of Php499 per month. However, it’s not available for everyone at the moment.
When using the web app, Meta Verified is priced at Php420/month.
First announced in February, this appears to be Meta’s take on the Twitter Blue service. Other than getting the verified badge next to your name, Facebook and Instagram users who will subscribe to Meta Verified will get an extra level of security, better customer support, and for some reason, more stickers.
By June 2023, Meta Philippines have opened the waitlist for the service. Now, it appears that the company has started rolling out the service to select users.
Compared to Twitter Blue’s Php440/mo (Php383.33/mo for the annual plan), Meta Verified is obviously more expensive. Which kinda makes sense since being verified on Instagram means that you’ll also get the badge on Meta’s latest platform, Threads. But is it worth paying for? We’ll let you decide.
