Among the number of technological advancements we have today, Artificial Intelligence or AI is flexible in terms of both entertainment and business purposes.
This becomes more evident when Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, revealed that Google is now using AI to write at least 25% of their code. Pichai expounds that Google is utilizing AI internally to improve their coding processes, which in turn boosts productivity and efficiency in other areas of work. Once AI does the code, it is double-checked by human engineers, finalizing and accepting it for use.
The usage of AI for such functions is not new; startup Cognition Labs has its very own Devin, their AI “software engineer,” and even ChatGPT proved itself to have the capabilities of a Level 3 software engineer too after being subjected to a Google coding interview.
However, technology is far from perfect, and even something as advance as AI has its flaws including the possibilities of copyright issues or security concerns if it is following licensed or old code. There is also the huge possibility of cybersecurity once humans completely rely on AI for the task.

Google continues to apply AI to various features and websites such as AI Overviews found on top of Google Search, and soon on Youtube with the ongoing Gemini model as a work in progress.
Moreover, Google’s upcoming AI model is set to be an autonomous unit meaning it can function independently: controlling a computer which includes opening various applications and clicking on the screen to do research and overall accomplish a task.
The company is aware of the hazards AI brings on earth and seeks to reduce these impacts by managing their AI features such as turning to nuclear energy as one option.
