In a bid to promote inclusivity, diversity, and equality in the tech industry, Google, in partnership with the Globe Group, has announced the rollout of the Google Career Certificate (GCC) scholarships, aimed at the members of the Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (PLCC).

To be made available via Coursera.org, the GCC, a collection of flexible online training programs will be on offer. Each certificate in the program is targeted at individuals of all backgrounds with the purpose of equipping them with digital skills, lasting an estimated three to six months.

Adding to the existing certificates Data Analytics, IT Support, Project Management, and UX Design, two new courses will become accessible to learners, namely Digital E-commerce and IT Automation.

Aspirants looking to become a recipient of the Google Career Certificate must be at least 18 years but are not required to have a previous degree or experience to enroll in the program.

Acting as distribution partners to Google, Globe Group and PLCC will play their role as endorsers of qualified recipients as well as monitor the scholars’ progress.
