Apple shipped the most tablets in 2024 as per the latest Canalys Market Pulse report.
The report from Canalys reveals that tablet shipments were up 9% in 2024 with 147.6 million units. In fact, the holiday period (October to December) had a total shipment of 39.9 million units, which is 5.6% higher than the same quarter the year before.
Apple took the lead after it shipped 56.9 million units last year, which amounts to 38.6% market share. They are followed by Samsung with 27.8 million (18.8%) and HUAWEI with 10.4 million units (7.3%).
Lenovo came close with 10.4 million units for a 7.1% market share, while Xiaomi managed to take the fifth spot with 9.2 million (6.2%) and posted an impressive 73.1% annual growth.
Canalys said that the global PC market refresh cycle had positive effects on the tablet demand and that corporate tablet demand is expected to grow this 2025, but the consumer market may face contained performance.
