The Apple Vision Pro, the brand’s first AR/VR headset, turned a lot of heads when it was unveiled due to its ludicrous price. Things have become crazier now that it has a Caviar Edition.
For those who are unfamiliar, Caviar is a Dubai-based company that specializes in custom luxury devices. We’ve seen them put out gold-plated iPhones, AirPods, and a whole lot more. Now, we also have the Apple Vision Pro Caviar Edition.

This special edition Apple product is inspired by Tom Ford’s flip-up glasses and Gucci ski masks.

The device itself and the protective mask have been decorated with more than 1.5kg of 18K gold. The headband is then made out of Connolly leather — the same material supplied to Rolls Royce and the British Royal Court.
Other than the looks, the rest of the features are similar to the regular Apple Vision Pro. Instead of calling it an AR/VR headset, Apple is marketing it as a “spatial computer” that is controlled using your voice, hands, and eyes.
It runs on a dedicated operating system called visionOS, has a bunch of sensors, and comes with a special R1 chip to handle all the sensors and a powerful M2 chip for everything that will be displayed on your eyes.
The standard Apple Vision Pro is priced at USD3,499 (~Php193,500). If that’s not expensive enough, the Caviar Edition costs more than 10x that at a whopping USD39,900 (~Php2.2 million). To make it even fancy, Caviar will only be making 24 units, which is expected to go on sale in Q3 of 2023.
