Are you one of those who were affected by the recent Banco De Oro hack? This latest update is for you.
For those who are unaware, a lot of BDO clients complained over the weekend that their accounts made unauthorized transactions, losing them up to Php100,000 – Php150,000.
Since then, the company and the central bank confirmed the incident and announced that they’re making an investigation. They also reminded users to never share login information like username, password, and one-time password (OTP).
The funds from the affected account were apparently transferred to another account from a different bank.
