The Leica Q3 43 series is out and introduces a lens refresh to the popular full-frame line.
As the name suggests, the new Leica Q3 43 now has a 43mm f/2.0 APO-Summicron aspherical lens, a change from the 28mm f/1.7 glass that the Q series has been known for since it came out in 2015. This new lens offers tighter close-ups that are great for portraits.
Other than the lens, the Q3 43 is essentially the same as the standard Leica Q3. It has the same BSI-CMOS sensor with triple resolution technology that can go from 18-megapixel, 36-megapixel, and 60-megapixel.
The Hybrid Autofocus system consists of PDAF, Contrast AF, depth from DeFocus, and AI. Plus, it offers a digital zoom of 43mm to 150mm. It can also shoot 8K videos under different formats like ProRes and .h265.
What’s more, the body has IP52 dust and splash resistance. The new camera also works with the Leica FOTOS app for the iPhone and iPad and has USB-C and HDMI ports.
The Leica Q3 43 has a price of Php434,565 and is available at the Leica Store Philippines website.
