The eGovPH Super App, or e-Government Philippines, is the Philippine government’s revolutionary mobile app initiative, released in 2023.

Its goal is to help Filipinos have all-in-one access to multiple government agencies and services in just one “super app,” eliminating the need for multiple individual mobile applications for government transactions.

You can also enable it to work in offline mode, so you can still access your resources, particularly your National ID, even if you don’t have mobile data.

The purpose of the eGovPH app is to have your one-stop shop for government-related sites in a single app. However, there are still things we can improve on.

To access this eGov app, you should meet the following criteria:

  • For registration: at least 18 years old.
  • For government services, you must have a verified account.
  • You should also have an available email address or phone number.

Registration

Step 1: Download the app.

You can download the eGov PH app through Google Play, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery.

Provide your mobile phone number and authenticate with a one-time PIN (OTP).

Enter your basic information and complete the facial recognition process.

Once you have completed the first three steps, you can verify your eGov account by scanning a government-issued account, such as a passport, PRC ID, UMID, Driver’s License, Philsys ID, or NBI clearance.

Verifying your account is mandatory to gain access to government services.

Once you open the app, you will see the dashboard containing the different services you can access through the app, such as NGAs, LGUs, Jobs, Tourism, Travel, Start-Up, Health, and more.

Things-to-do-eGovPH-Super-app

Here are some of the essential services and features you can do using the eGovPH app:

NGAs (National Government Agency Services)

You can access various national government agency services. As of this writing, the app only redirects you to the agency’s websites, as it’s not yet fully integrated, but it’s a good way to put all the government websites in a single app.

Here are the list of agencies you can find in the app:

  • Anti Red-Tape Authority (ARTA)
  • Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
  • Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
  • Bureau of the Treasury (BTr)
  • Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
  • Credit Information Corporation (CIC)
  • Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC)
  • DFA
  • DILG
  • DOLE
  • DOT
  • DOTr
  • DPWH

Other NGAs may also be added in the future, but the current list already covers the majority.

LGUs (Local Government Unit Services)

This is to make LGU services accessible. However, as of this writing, there are no listed LGUs, but they may appear soon.

e-Reports

e-Reports is a new addition to the list of things you can do within the eGov app. You can use this to report various issues to the respective agencies that will handle the case.

Please note that since e-Reports is a new addition, it will require your location, which will determine if your area is already supported.

Jobs

Through the eGov PH, you can now create your resume and apply for jobs through the app.

Tourism

Through the partnership with the Department of Tourism, you can view popular tourist destinations like Coron, Boracay, and Bohol. But it’s more informational than a travel app, as it is integrated with the AI chatbot (more of this later).

Travel Declarations

You can now create Travel Declarations through the eGov PH app instead of the separate e-Travel app. This is a helpful feature, especially if you frequently travel abroad, as you can also connect your passport to it.

Health

You can use the Health feature in the app to generate your VaxCert (if still needed) or locate your nearest health center.

Government IDs

This one is one of my favorite features of the eGov PH app. You can connect your government-issued valid IDs to your mobile ID, such as your National ID or PRC license, which you can use even without the physical card.

According to the eGov PH FAQs page, the uploaded digital IDs can be used for any government and private transactions.

You may also enable the app’s Offline Mode to use its Digital National ID feature even without an Internet connection.

OFW Affairs

The Philippines is among the world’s top exporters of foreign workers, and the OFW affairs feature tries to make OFW transactions seamless. Through this feature, OFWs and seafarers can access OWWA, Electronic Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), and passport renewal for OFWs.

e-Gov AI Chat

It’s great to see the government creating initiatives to keep up with the fast-paced updates on technology, particularly with AI. Through this chatbot, you can access and ask about various government-related information.

Other services

You can also use the eGov app to find the nearest KADIWA store or register your SIM cards.

The new eGov PH app is still relatively new, so it’s important to disseminate its use to more Filipinos, making it more effective for everyday Juans. We can also expect it to add more capabilities soon.

The eGov PH Super App is truly one of the better government technological innovations and initiatives, with plenty of use cases for Filipinos’ convenience.
