The new Leica Q3 compact full-frame camera has instantly made its way in the Philippines.
Fancy as it is, the Leica Q3 obviously features the brand’s classic, vintage-looking design. Inside this beautiful yet sturdy build is Leica’s 60-megapixel full-frame sensor, which you can scale down to 36-megapixel or 18-megapixel depending on your needs.
It can also output DNG and JPG files. Plus, it has an ISO range of 50 up to 100,000. Images are handled by the latest Maestro Series processor with L² Technology.
The camera comes with a Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH fixed lens with optical image stabilization with macro capabilities that have a minimum distance of 17cm.
Leica also included a highly accurate contrast autofocus and defocus system for faster and more precise object tracking. Intelligent subject recognition is also here.
More than its photography prowess, it can also shoot 8K videos under h265 or Apple ProRes codec.
The Q3 comes with a 5.76-megapixel OLED viewfinder. Plus, a tiltable display. You can then transfer files wirelessly to your phone using the Leica FOTOS app. Plus, do tether shooting via the USB-C port. What’s more, the Q3 can be charged wirelessly using a dedicated Leica Charging Pad.
