Back in February, Canon announced the Rebel T7i a.k.a the EOS 800D. An APS-C based DSLR with other modern features that aims to cope up with the mirrorless cameras.
The Canon EOS 800D features an ultra-fast autofocus, and the company’s claiming it to have the fastest Live View AF system in the world at only 0.03sec. It also features a 3-inch touchscreen LCD to make it more beginner-friendly.
There’s also a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and other wireless connectivity like WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth. The said features are can also be found on the competing Sony A6500.
But on the downside, the EOS 800D can only record 1080p videos up to 60fps. This is really disappointing considering that a lot of its competitors can already shoot 4k videos. In fact, you can even get a 4k-capable camera at a cheaper price.
