Filipino mobile users no longer have to stick to one network for a free Facebook access, because Sun Cellular offers the same thing and lets you enjoy using the social network “the practical way.”

Getting free Facebook access via Sun Cellular is easy enough: open the Facebook app or visit the mobile site, tap the Continue button when prompted to use Facebook without data charges, and tap OK.

And it’s not just Facebook. By visiting Internet.org, Sun (and Smart) mobile users also gain free access to other partner sites.

Note that the free Facebook access comes with some restrictions. These include limited access to pictures and videos. You’ll have to turn on mobile data in your device to view photos and videos, and that means getting charged with the standard rate (Php5 per 15 minutes). Outgoing links, running background applications and automatic phone updates are also subject to the charge.

Alternately, the full Facebook experience is available for free when you subscribe to call and text promo loads, such as Text Unlimited (TU200) and Call and Text Combo (CTC50).

How does Sun Cellular’s free Facebook offer compare to the one by the other network—Globe? Sun made this table to show you the difference:
