If you use Grab often, there is some good news. The company is making its loyalty points system more useful. You can now earn GrabCoins on more activities and spend them on a wider range of services.
Every time you book a ride, order lunch, buy groceries, or pay digitally, you collect GrabCoins. Later, you can turn those coins into discounts for your next trip, meal, or store payment.
You do not have to do anything special to start earning GrabCoins. Just using the app for regular tasks like scheduling a ride in advance, sharing a trip with friends, or ordering food for a group will all add points to your account. Shopping from certain grocery and pharmacy stores on GrabMart also counts.
If you are a GrabUnlimited member, you get a better deal. For every Php100 you spend using GrabPay, you receive 6 coins. If you use other digital payment methods, you still get 3 points for the same amount.
There is also a new monthly event called “Double Coins Days.” This happens on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th of each month. During this window, everyone can earn twice the usual GrabCoins on specific offers. You can find these deals on the main rewards page in the app.
Redeeming your GrabCoins is straightforward. You can either swap them for discount vouchers from the rewards catalogue or apply them directly when you check out for rides, food, or grocery orders. Just turn on the points toggle in the app. You can also use them for in-store purchases through QR Ph when you pay with GrabPay.
One thing to remember: your GrabCoins don’t last forever. They expire six months after you earn them. So it is a good idea to check your balance often and use them every once in a while.
