When it comes to bang-for-buck phone cases, Halo has always been my go-to because they’re typically affordable and never look generic. So it was nice to have been invited to the launch of their Summer Collection at SM North EDSA where I not only got a chance to check out their new stuff, but see John Lloyd Cruz in person!
Halo Mobile Clothing and John Lloyd fans were treated to a special band performance.
There were also a few booth activities, where fans in attendance could spin the wheel to win prizes, take pictures in front of the photo wall, as well as leave messages for John Lloyd himself! And of course, it would be a waste if you went home without actually buying Halo mobile clothing for your phone, tablet, or laptop.
John Lloyd was also a pretty good sport, letting a lot of lucky fans take their pictures with him as souvenirs.
I also managed to take home a few goodies. First is this mobile phone pouch that I intended for the review unit I was using. The thing I like about Halo Mobile Clothing is that they hardly ever come off as looking generic.
Unfortunately, I never got to use it as my wife immediately claimed it as her own for her iPhone.
I did manage to get this neat portable hard drive case.
I didn’t actually intend it to store an external drive. What I really wanted it for was to protect my power bank that I recently got as a gift.
My favorite though is Halo’s Tyra backpack, which comes in 2 sizes, one that can fit 12″ laptops and another that can fit 14″ laptops.
The one I went home with was the 12″ variant, which was more than enough to accommodate my Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph.
The main compartment is already spacious enough, allowing you to accommodate a small laptop and a few other things. What was surprising though was that the secondary compartment was almost just as large and had even more pockets. Not a bad haul for the day. I sure do hope the wife changes her mind about keeping this case though.
