Huawei Philippines confirmed that its latest midrange phones, the Nova 8 and 8i, are coming to the country.

The Huawei Nova 8 and 8i‘s arrival in the Philippines this August was confirmed during the MatePad 11‘s release in the country. Albeit, no official date has been set yet.

There are a lot of things to get excited about these devices. For one, the Huawei Nova 8 brags a Kirin 985 processor, 6.57-inch OLED screen, 5G connectivity, 3,800mAh battery, and 66W Huawei SuperCharge technology.

On the back, there’s a camera design that’s quite similar to the Huawei P50 series. It houses the 64-megapixel main shooter, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and two 2-megapixel obligatory sensors. On the front, there’s a 32-megapixel selfie-snapper sitting in a punch-hole.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nova 8i has a 4G-only Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, 6.67-inch LCD screen, 4,300mAh battery, and the same 66W fast charging.

The cameras on the back are similar to the Nova 8, while the one on the front is dropped to 16-megapixels. We’ll have their official availability details once we have the word, so stay tuned for that.
