Everyone was saddened to know that the Huawei Nova 4 is not coming in the Philippines. However, our hopes are still high that we’ll get a taste of the cheaper Nova 4i variant. And from what it looks like, there are a few reasons to get excited about this upcoming device.
A device dubbed as the Huawei P Smart 2019 have been spotted on a retailer’s website from France. By which since then have been taken down. While it’s technically not the Nova 4i, we suspect that it will take a lot of inspiration from this device.
The new P Smart sports a large 6.2-inch FHD+ IPS screen with a Mate 20-like waterdrop notch on top. The tiny dot is a home to an 8-megapixel selfie camera, while on the back we have a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras.
As for the processor, the device runs on a Kirin 710 chipset. A processor that also powers the Nova 3i and the Y9 2019. It’s backed with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
The battery is also really typical. There’s a 3,400mAh on the inside, which is not the most exciting thing to see on a device at this time of age. On the upside, it will ship with the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with Huawei’s EMUI interface on top.
We will not see the Huawei P Smart 2019 until January. So if you’re planning on getting one, you still have time to save up to afford its EUR300 (~Php17,900) price tag.
