Infinix has showcased a new NFC technology called the 720-degree SphereTech that promises to greatly improve how we use NFC on our phones.

NFC is commonly used for cashless payments, home and vehicle security, and transit access. However, due to the tech’s limitations, tasks using NFC are often finicky and lead to errors and failures, which can be very frustrating in fast-paced environments. That’s what the new Infinix 720-degree SphereTech is trying to address.

The current NFC technology requires precise alignment between the user’s mobile device and an NFC contact point. That will not be the case with Infinix‘s new technology, which increases the reading area by 200% and the signal range by 100%.

It can read cards and recognize NFC points from different angles: front, tap, and back, unlike the existing technology, which is limited to the back of the device.

For security, Infinix uses advanced encryption protocols and multi-layered authentication processes to ensure all transactions are safe and that no one can steal personal data or perform unauthorized transactions in case the device is lost or stolen.

We shall see the new 720° SphereTech NFC technology in upcoming Infinix smartphones, so stay tuned for that.
