Narzo just announced that it will now become a standalone brand but will remain within the Realme ecosystem. To mark this development, the company will be launching two new smartphones in the Philippines.

In a press release, the refreshed brand announced that they will be launching the Narzo 50 5G and Narzo 50 Pro 5G in the Philippines this July 14 via a Facebook and Lazada live stream at 6 PM.

“This is the very first time that narzo will be its own unique entity, and not just a smartphone series under the realme brand. Out of the six other countries in Southeast Asia wherein narzo is present, we specifically chose to launch it first in the Philippines because of how well-received our earlier models have been in the past two years.”  said Allen Yin, Narzo’s Country Manager in the Philippines.

Narzo’s previous release sits under the Realme brand. The last few smartphones launched in the country include the Realme Narzo 50 and the Realme Narzo 50A. This move could make Narzo phones stay in the bang-for-the-buck range as its parent company focuses on higher-end devices.

For its first launch event, the company plans to introduce the Narzo 50 5G and 50 Pro 5G to the Filipino market.

The Narzo 50 5G is powered by a Dimensity 810 processor, has a 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, stereo speakers, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.

Meanwhile, the Pro model enjoys a more powerful Dimensity 920 chip, a fancier AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an extra 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

We’ll have their local availability details and SRP next week, so stay tuned for that.
