Nokia sure knows how to keep its promise. Last year, Nokia and HMD Global promised that they will upgrade the Nokia 5 and 6 to the latest version of Android. And now, the 8.0 Oreo update is now available on these devices.
Both the Nokia 5 and 6 belong to the budget segment, so it’s nice to see that HMD Global has continuous after-sales support not only for the high-end devices.
Having Android 8.0 Oreo would definitely be one of the best characteristics of these devices. For one, the Nokia 5 has an appealing unibody build. It also has a 5.2-inch HD screen on top, a Snapdragon 430 chipset under the hood, a chunky 3000mAh battery. In the camera department, it features an 8-megapixel and 13-megapixel camera in the front and back, respectively.
On the other hand, the Nokia 6 also has a fantastic build. It has a bigger 5.5-inch Full HD screen, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, fingerprint scanner, and a 16-megapixel shooter at the back.
The Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Nokia 5 and 6 will be sent to both devices automatically through the over-the-air upgrade in the settings. But if you still don’t own one, and this good news has completely persuaded you, you can get the Nokia 5 for Php9,990 and the Nokia 6 for Php11,990.
