The time has come for a couple of aging Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones as they land on Xiaomi’s End-of-Life list.
Being added to the End-of-Life (EOL) list means that these Xiaomi devices will no longer receive software updates that include bug fixes, new features, and sadly, security patches that shield you against malware and vulnerabilities.
New to the list are the Xiaomi Mi 10 series devices, Redmi Note 10 series devices, the POCO M3 Pro 5G, and a few more. See the full list below and their market variants.
- Xiaomi Mi 10S (CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 (Global, EN, IN, EEA, ID, TR, CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (Global, EEA, CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (CN)
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G (JP)
- Redmi Note 8 2021 (EN, TR)
- Redmi Note 10 (TR)
- Redmi Note 10 5G (TW, TR)
- Redmi Note 10T (EN)
- POCO M3 Pro 5G (EN, TR)
Being added to the EOL list, considering how old these devices are, is not too surprising. For one, the POCO M3 is already 3 years old while the Mi 10 came out four years ago. Still, they don’t have the longest software support in the smartphone world.
Is your device on the list? Would it make you upgrade? We’re curious to know your plans in the comments below.
