Samsung Philippines is starting the 2020 right with the upcoming launch of two of its latest mid-range smartphones in the country — the Samsung Galaxy A51 and A71.
The hint was provided by a teaser video published on Samsung Philippines’ official Facebook page. Samsung didn’t provide us with an official release date yet, but we expect it to happen very soon.
So, what do we expect from these devices? For starters, they will come with a rectangular camera design on the back. It will also have a similar design with the Galaxy A50s, with the Infinity-O cut-out on the middle-top of the screen like what the Galaxy Note 10 has.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 sports a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, has an Exynos 9611 processor, and a 4,000mAh battery.
We have a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the punch-hole cutout on the screen. While on the back there’s a quad-camera setup, led by a 48-megapixel main shooter and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 has a bigger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor under the hood.
The main sensor on the quad-camera setup on the back was also upgraded to 64-megapixels. The battery is also bigger at 4,500mAh with faster 25W charging support.
We still don’t have the local prices for the two, nor their SRP abroad. I guess we just have to wait and see.
