Samsung took the stage in IFA 2017 last month to reveal their new fitness-oriented devices. These are the new Samsung Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX. And now, you can get it locally in the Philippines.
Besides the new Samsung Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX, Samsung also announced the new Gear Sport smartwatch on the same event. However, its arrival in the country is yet to be known. As of today, the Geat Fit2 smartwatch and Gear Icon X are already posted in the Shop section of Samsung Philippine’s Facebook Page.
The Samsung Gear Fit2 is a smartwatch on a band-like form. It runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS so it can work on both iOS and Android. And as the name suggests, its features are focused to cater the fitness junkies. It has a built-in heart-rate sensor, water resistant up to 50M, and more motion-tracking sensors.
The device is also complete with decent hardware. It runs on a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage that lets you store your music locally.
And speaking of music, the Gear Fit2 is said to be best partnered with the Samsung Gear IconX, a truly-wireless in-ear headphones. This thing has 5.8pi dynamic drivers, has 82mAh battery per earbud, and 340mAh one built-in on the charging case.
Each earbud also contains 4GB internal storage each, with a total of 8GB per pair. This lets you play music locally, without the need of a paired media player. And speaking of being standalone, the Samsung Gear IconX also has its own fitness sensors. Hence, it can instantly track your running and what not, all by itself.
