In the market for a really affordable 5G phone as a daily driver, backup, or as a WiFi hotspot? Check out the TCL 20 R 5G, which just received a massive price drop in the Philippines.
The TCL 20 R 5G first arrived in the Philippines back in April with an SRP of Php11,990. If that’s not affordable enough, the device now costs more than half of that as it’s currently listed on memoxpress’s official Lazada store for only Php4,990.
This makes the 20 R 5G even more appealing considering that it has the said current connectivity standard made possible by the immortal MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, joined by a decent 4GB of RAM capacity and 128GB of internal storage.
The rest of the specs are nothing too flashy, but still enough to make for a reliable daily driver. There’s a decent 6.52-inch IPS screen with only an HD+ pixel resolution but does have TCL NXTVISION technology and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.

It then has a 4,500mAh battery for all-day power with light to moderate use, paired with a decent 15W charging adapter.
The device also managed to have a triple camera setup on the back, albeit all with low resolution. There’s the 13-megapixel main snapper joined by a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. We also have a fingerprint scanner back here and an 8-megapixel shooter on the front.
