While we wait for our local companies to churn out affordable Windows 10 tablets, we’ve no choice but to look elsewhere. That said, we’ve set our eyes on the Teclast X98 Pro, a 9.7-inch slate that runs Microsoft’s latest operating system and only costs around $270.
We’ve never written about a Teclast product before. That the Chinese brand has yet to have a strong local presence here in the Philippines is the reason. (But apparently Teclast is an ODM for Cloudfone.) However, one can’t just ignore its recent X98 Pro and its seemingly too-good-to-be-true specifications. For one thing, this tablet boasts a QXGA resolution for its 9.7-inch display. For another, it comes equipped with 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage and a quad-core Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor. It’s also pretty slim at 7.9mm.
