It’s still more than a week away from IFA 2015 in Berlin, but we already have a glimpse of what’s to come in the form of the 10.1-inch LG G Pad II.
The name clearly speaks for itself: the LG G Pad II is a follow-up to the original G Pad tablets. And this isn’t just some ho-hum upgrade, because this new tablet brings in powerful specs—1920-by-1200 display, Snapdragon 800, 2GB of RAM and so on. Best of all, it has a gigantic battery capacity at 7400mAh. That’s reportedly the largest capacity found on a commercial tablet. You’d think that would make the LG G Pad II bulky, but it fortunately measures 7.8mm thin and weighs 489g.
The LG G Pad II further comes equipped with 16GB internal storage, microSD expansion, Android 5.1 and 5-megapixel rear- and 2-megapixel front-facing cameras. Software features of the LG G Pad II include Reader Mode (reduction of blue light for comfortable e-book reading sessions), Dual Window (running two applications simultaneously) and QuickMemo+ (creation of quick notes anywhere, anytime). Microsoft Office comes preinstalled.
The LG G Pad II will be available in both Wi-Fi-only and LTE versions. It’s headed to several markets in America, Europe and Asia after its official debut at IFA 2015.
