Vivo and Qualcomm has announced its new partnership to further strengthen collaboration in developing innovative technological advancements.
In a memorandum of understanding signed last November 9, the two companies has sealed the billion dollar deal as well as the technical and patent sharing agreements.
Qualcomm is also a key partner in developing Vivo’s under display fingerprint scanning technology which is expected to officially debut next year.
Vivo is said to be working more on biometric solutions such as 3D facial scanning, Iris scanning, and Palm prints. Both are also coordinating on the accelaration of the formulation of 5G standards.
Vivo is set to expand globally with release in Russia, Taiwan, Singapore, and African market scheduled early next year.
