Vivo’s upcoming flagship smartphone seen in live photos.
A couple of days ago, we reported that the Vivo V9 was already being promoted using a billboard in Indonesia. Not long after that, the official promotional materials were released, and the launch date was confirmed.
Even though we already saw the render, this is the first time that we’re actually seeing the device in the flesh. As expected, the Vivo V9 will feature a tall 18:9 display with the infamous notch on top. In the leaked images, the notch is not that apparent, probably because the phone uses a dark wallpaper which hides it in plain sight.
Face unlock feature is a great convenience for most people, but it’s better if that’s not the only option. Thankfully, Vivo didn’t follow Apple route by letting the scanner stay. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back, just like on other recent Vivo smartphones.
The images didn’t reveal anything about the specs, save for several basic features like dual-SIM and micro SD expandable storage support, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro USB port.
We’re expecting to get information regarding the Vivo V9 as we get closer to its official launch.
