Xiaomi has added nine devices to its End-of-Life list. For those unfamilliar, devices added to the list are no longer eligible to receive software updates.
This also means that the added devices will no longer receive security patches. Hence, if you want the best protection against malware and other forms of possible hacking and malware, you’re better off upgrading your smartphone.
Added to the list are the popular Redmi Note 11, the entry-level Redmi 10C, POCO M4 Pro, and more. See the list of newly added accounts below:
- Redmi Note 11
- Redmi Note 11 SE
- Redmi Note 11S 5G
- Redmi Note 11 5G
- Redmi Note 11S
- Redmi 10 2022
- Redmi 10C
- POCO M4 Pro
- POCO X4 Pro 5G
Considering how old these devices are, it’s actually no surprise that Xiaomi have already put an end to supporting them.
Don’t get confused, though, as these devices are still entirely usable. However, they are now vulnerable to new threats and possible security issues. To keep you safe, make sure you only download files from reliable sources, don’t open sketchy links, and refrain from downloading and installing apps from third-party sources.
