If you’re a Xiaomi fan, you know that this brand makes more than just smartphones and other mobile devices. Xiaomi also sells other products like smart vacuums, TVs, electric kettles, rice cookers, and a new electric shaver.
This is the Xiaomi Smate Electric Shaver. The offspring of Xiaomi’s involvement in the Youpin crowdfunding platform. Xiaomi already launched this kind of product under their Mijia brand, but this new one is said to be better.
The Smate Electric Shaver has four blades and an eight-position floating cutter. Handling that is an ultra-fast motor that can spin them at the speed of 8,000rpm. All materials were outsourced from Japan so quality should be out of the question.
This device claims to provide a complete shave in just 3 minutes.
And just like most Xiaomi products, the build quality on this thing is top notch. This electric shaver has an all-metal body with a brushed aluminum alloy finish.
Other features include an IP67 water and dust proof rating and a USB port to charge its built-in battery. Both the battery usability and charging is rated at an hour. But considering the longevity of each shave, I think you can get around a month of use before needing to plug it in.
