Huawei’s upcoming P20 line has been running around the rumor mill for quite a while now.  This time, what we have is the Huawei P20 Pro, which is supposed to be the most expensive option on the entire line.

Design-wise, the P20 Pro looks just a tad bit identical to the iPhone X. It does have the notch on top, but the bottom bezel is still quite thick as it gives room for the home button/fingerprint scanner.

The back is covered by a shiny and reflective material which could possibly the same metal chassis found on the Huawei Mate 10.

The camera on the back is slightly reminiscent of Apple’s current flagship. The two cameras are grouped together in a vertical orientation, however, the third one is slightly separated together with the LED flash.

Other than their pretty unique setup, the cameras themselves have ludicrous specifications. All three are co-engineered by Leica, with the one on top utilizing a whopping 40-megapixel sensor, while the one below it is an 8-megapixel shooter.

The former is capable of 3x optical zoom, and together with details gathered by the standard 8-megapixel camera, these two are capable of up to 5x magnification. Huawei is calling it as “Hybrid Zoom” and we should know how it really works once it gets officially unveiled.

The camera at the bottom is a 20-megapixel sensor that shoots in monochrome. Huawei smartphones’ dual cameras were always meant for a dedicated black and white artsy snapper, and it looks like the company isn’t going to give it up anytime soon.

Rumors also suggest that the Huawei P20 Pro will have an IR-RGB sensor, a laser autofocus module at the back, and a new feature called Light Fusion.

And in case you missed it, the P20 Pro is expected to come with a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen, Kirin 970 chipset with tons of AI capabilities, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The device is also said to feature a 4,000mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge fast-charging support.

Huawei P20 Pro will be unveiled on March 27 in Paris, France. It is expected to retail for EUR899 (~Php57,700).
