We’re pretty sure the company is doing its best to keep everything a secret, because it’s only a couple of days before the official reveal of the Huawei P40 series. Unfortunately for them, new leaks just keep on coming.
The design of the phones were previously revealed in a family picture posted by popular leaker Evan Blass. Now, we got more information about the camera and battery specs.
Huawei P40 series cameras
Based on the new leak, the upcoming Huawei P40 Pro will feature four Leica Ultra Vision sensors. The primary camera is equipped with 50-megapixels plus it’s supported by 40-megapixel secondary, 12-megapixel, and 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensors. The report claims that the P40 Pro will once again have the ability to do 50x SuperSensing zoom.
As for selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel main shooter and a supporting depth sensor presumably for portraits. The company will be using the new “Huawei XD Fusion Engine” which can possibly improve image quality.

On the other hand, the Huawei P40 will be equipped with a larger 50-megapixel main, a 16-megapixel secondary, and 8-megapixel lens. It will come with 30x digital zoom support and Huawei XD Fusion Engine. Up front, a single 32-megapixel camera will be used for selfies.
Huawei P40 series batteries and charging
Battery capacity of the Huawei P40 Pro is said to be 4,200mAh and it will be filled up using a 40W fast charger. There’s also a mention of 40W wireless fast charging support, although the source says that this information is unverified and it might just come with 27W. But nevertheless, both numbers are more than good enough for wireless.
Lastly, the Huawei P40 Pro is expected to come with a huge 6.58-inch display and the brand’s propietary HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G. The regular P40 reportedly comes with a smaller 6.1-inch screen.
Even though most of these specs and features sound convincing, keep in mind that nothing is official until Huawei confirms it. Stay tuned for the upcoming launch of the Huawei P40 series on the 26th of March.
